Hair Loss Problems

Baldness causes havoc on Self Esteem and Career & Social Growth
As Mr. Vivek Mathur entered the interview room and had seat in front of the interviewers; interviews’ eyes got stuck on his cap. They asked him to feel easy and comfortable, suggesting to him to take off his cap; but, he reluctantly avoided the suggestion. One of the Interviewers, frowning his eyes, said in a very strict tone- Don’t you have this basic etiquette that you should take off your cap while sitting in front of the interview panel? Do you think your cap goes well with your dress? Now, Mr. Vivek Mathur had no choice. He had to take off his cap. After he took off his cap, then, interviewers understood the reason of his donning the cap even in the interview room. He was basically trying to hide his baldness. His uncomfortable appearance before the interviewers disturbed his confidence and ultimately affected his performance in the interview, resulting in missing the chance of getting selected for the coveted job.
This is not the unique case with Mr. Vivek Mathur only. So many job aspirants, both male and female, lag behind in their career and social interactions because of this problem. So, many boys and girls get rejected during matrimonial negotiation, just because of the problems of baldness.

What exactly is the Hair loss / Baldness?
Hair loss / Baldness, also known as alopecia or baldness, is a loss of hair from the head or body. Baldness refers to general hair loss or male pattern hair loss. Some types of hair loss can be caused by alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder. The extreme forms of alopecia aerate are alopecia totalis, which involves the loss of all head hair, andalopecia universalis, which involves the loss of all hair from the head and the body.
People have between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on their head. The number of strands normally lost in a day varies, but on average is 100. In order to maintain a normal volume, hair must be replaced at the same rate at which it is lost.
Symptoms:
The first signs of hair thinning that people will often notice are more hairs than usual left in the hairbrush after brushing or in the basin after shampooing. Styling can also reveal areas of thinning, such as a wider parting or a thinning crown.
Symptoms of hair loss include hair loss in patches usually in circular patterns, dandruff, skin lesions, and scarring. Alopecia areata (mild – medium level) usually shows in unusual hair loss areas e.g. eyebrows, backside of the head or above the ears where usually the male pattern baldness does not affect. In male-pattern hair loss, loss and thinning begin at the temples and the crown and either thins out or falls out. Female-pattern hair loss occurs at the frontal and parietal.
Male pattern baldness
More than 95% of hair loss in men is male pattern baldness (MPB). MPB is characterized by hair receding from the lateral sides of the forehead (known as a “receding hairline”) and/or a thinning crown. Both become more pronounced until they eventually meet, leaving a horseshoe-shaped ring of hair around the back of the head.
The incidence of pattern baldness varies from population to population and is based on genetic background. Environmental factors do not seem to affect this type of baldness greatly. According to Dr. Suneet Soni, the Director of Medispa Laser & Cosmetic Surgery Center, India, MPB affects roughly 40 million men in the United States. The condition in India too seems to be very serious. Approximately one in four men will have noticeable hair loss by age 30, and this figure increases to two in three men by age 60. In rare cases, MPB can begin as early as age 12.
Causes of Hair Loss / Baldness
Hair follicle growth occurs in cycles. Each cycle consists of a long growing phase (anagen), a short transitional phase (catagen) and a short resting phase (telogen). At the end of the resting phase, the hair falls out (exogen) and a new hair starts growing in the follicle beginning the cycle again.
Normally, about 40 (0–78 in men) hairs reach the end of their resting phase each day and fall out. When there are more than 100 hairs fallout per day, clinical hair loss (telogen effluvium) may occur. A disruption of the growing phase causes abnormal loss of anagen hairs (anagen effluvium).
Following are the factors which causes Hair Loss / Baldness:
Hormonal Disorder
Genetic or Hereditary reason
Infection
Medications and drugs
Poor Nutrition
Trauma
